Biyografi
Writer and musician Erekle Deisadze was born in 1990 in Kutaisi. He graduated from Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgia State University. In 2010, Deisadze published the book Saidumlo Siroba (the title of which is a wordplay on ‘Last Supper’ in Georgian), which the public received with severely contrasting reactions. In 2012, the artist founded the punk band In 40 Kilometers; his music videos usually carry a political message. Deisadze is an artist of many talents and a diverse background. He participated in the music video The System Must Break Down, which was a reaction to the scandal in the Georgian penitentiary system. In 2013, he created the music project Eko & Vinda Folio. In 2013, Deisadze published his second book, The Maid, followed by Russian Holidays in 2016, which is about Georgian-Russian war. He has also written music for the plays Bechavi, staged at Royal District Theatre in 2015, and Counting Out, staged at the Puppet Theatre in 2017.
