Jah Signal born Nicodimus Mutize is a contemporary Zimdancehall Artist who hails from a surburb called Kuwadzana in Harare Zimbabwe. His stage name is an abberation of the name Busy Signal,an internationally acclaimed musician who also happens to be his biggest inspiration. Jah Signal rose to stardom in 2011 following the release of his song titled"Honour Ladies" Since then he has released many songs resulting in him earning a spot at the echelons of the Zimbabwean music industry. His music is popular with people of all ages but mainly youths from the high density suburbs (Ghetto) as his music relates with the day to day struggles of that section of the population. Jah Signal uses deep metaphors to convey his message to his plethora of fans.He wittingly embedds social commentary in his music concomitantly creating music that is laden with meaning In 2017 he was given an accolade at the Zimdancehall awards for his song...which was voted song of the year. This year(2018) his song "Tisvike kumusoro" was chosen as the theme song for the 2018 OK Grand Challenge an annual jackpot promotion organized by OK Zimbabwe which owns supermarkets across the country. Jah Signal was also a brand ambassador for Premier Plus Mahewu a company which produces traditional Zimbabwean beverages (MaHewu)
