Rap from Sri Lanka during the latter part of the last decade saw some pure intense, fire. The kind that isn’t here to be put out and will guarantee to leave either jaw drops or mad fandom as a result of hitting play. A noted name in the islandwide rap circuit of Sri Lanka is MasterD; Not just another name, this slick tongued maestro of rap is a graduate of arts (bachelor) and made his debut a few years ago with his single ‘Ghana Andura’ and then right after, stamped his name sonically across the internet with singles like ‘Adahas’, 'Run Run Run', ‘Samaharak Budi' and more. His command of Sinhala in rap is poetic and his delivery, a sort of evolving dedication to an emerging rap/art-sphere. This 30 something trailblazer has two stellar Ep’s under his belt ‘Mage Sadde’ & ‘Kopi’ and aims to bring the kind of quality that is truly Sri Lankan identity and unique to his name.
