Biyografi
Five men, five voices, five microphones... That is all it takes to make music! It all started with a fascination with traditional shanties, sea songs, and the folklore of the greatest known wanderes and cosmoplitans that were the 19th century sailors. Then came a fascination with spirituals and gospel music, with the songs of dockers, farmers, miners, pearl divers, and shepherds. These beautiful, rhythmical and melodious work songs, often performed in most exotic languages, came to form the very core of North Cape's repertoire. Over the span of more than two decades of their activity, North Cape recorded three studio albums, made guest appearances in a number of musical projects, and performed on several TV shows. Except for the shows in their homeland, North Cape also performed in Finland, Ireland, England, Denmark, Germany, and other countries. They appeared twice at the greatest European sea shanty and folk song festival in Paimpol, France, as also at the tall ship gathering in Brest. In 2016, the band organized the first edition of their annual Shanties at the Opera festival at the Silesian Opera in Bytom, Poland.
