LADAMA is an ensemble of innovative women musicians from across the Americas, including vocalist/Bandola Llanera player Mafer Bandola (Venezuela), vocalist/drummer Lara Klaus (Brazil), vocalist/Tambor Alegre player Daniela Serna (Colombia), and vocalist/guitarist Sara Lucas (U.S.). They collaborated with bassist Pat Swoboda (U.S., Bearthoven) to create their debut album, “LADAMA,” to universal acclaim. LADAMA engages communities on a global scale through eclectic live performances, residencies, and all-ages workshops. Broadcasting their boundary-less compositions sung in Spanish, Portuguese and English to fans worldwide on many of today’s premier platforms, they have appeared on as NPR’s “Tiny Desk Concert” Latin American Music Awards, TED Conference, Nacion ESPN: The Latino Experience, and tour internationally. They were featured on NPR’s All Things Considered - praised for their “irresistible spirit and universal appeal” - at the Skoll World Forum, Womex, renown festivals in Europe, North and South America. Their self-titled debut album (released on Six Degrees Records 2017) reach #1 on both iTunes and Amazon’s Latin Music charts.
