Sol Jay, is an American born hip-hop artist,songwriter and singer of Filipino, Japanese and Irish descent. He is a San Francisco, California native. Since the age of 13, Sol Jay has had an affinity for music when his father gifted him the software sequencer, Ableton Live. Sol Jay's passion for music developed into a career when he had perfected his signature moody and atmospheric recording style, trap and pop music are some of the biggest influences on his lyricism. A life threatening car accident in July of 2019 would test Sol Jay to his absolute limit. After surviving an impossible situation with damage to 3 areas of his brain, Sol Jay would do the impossible once more by breaking his restrictions and in just under six months, released his debut project, #UNDERGROUNDKINGS. The tape was a collaboration between Sol Jay and numerous featured artists and producers, all of which came together to deliver outstanding artistic expression. Sol Jay's lyrics detail overcoming his demons and conquering his mistakes and his vision for the future is no different. Sol Jay continues to find new ways to defy expectations and repeatedly break boundaries with memorable, bold and outstanding performances.
