Riverwood is a five-piece progressive metal band hailing from Alexandria, Egypt. The band was formed in 2018 by a group of talented musicians who met during a metal festival and bonded over their shared love of Opeth, Nightingale, and Kamelot. With their unique blend of heavy metal riffs and Middle Eastern sounds, combined with death metal growls and clean vocals, Riverwood's music is a captivating journey that will take you on a dreamlike adventure. Their debut album was hailed as "One of 2018's top 20 folk metal albums" by World Of Metal magazine, and their latest album "Shadows and Flames" has been earning rave reviews since its release. In addition to their albums, Riverwood has released a collaboration EP with Egyptian rock band Cairopathix, called "SCARS." The EP contains three versions of the same song, including the original, an instrumental version, and an acoustic version.
