Aarlon is an Indian alternative rock/metalcore band formed in 2017. The band writes in Hindi and their soundscape is characterized by a melancholic blast of metalcore with post-rock touches. It utilizes melancholic clean vocals and wrathful screams which lay on a vast bed of power chords and reverb-soaked synthesizers. Lyrically, Aarlon has a penchant for delving into the dark psyche and hopelessness of the human condition and laying it bare for self-reflection. The vocal melodies carry extremely strong resolve and the songwriting has everything a metal/rock listener will find familiar. In 2022 they released their debut album Dafan which is a tasteful blend of melancholy and rage. It features elements of hard-rock, metalcore, indie, and alternative, amongst other variations. The album was lauded by Metalhammer Magazine, Rob Chapman and the likes of them.
