Formed in the later periods of 2009, What Escapes Me's mission statement was to make good music and bring it to life in the most uncompromising and autonomous way bereft of the challenges and hostilities that a nation like India poses to heavy music and independent music in general. Being one of the first metal bands to experiment with Indian classical instruments and metal music, What Escapes Me released their acclaimed track "Section 66 Part 5" in 2012 which made the world take notice of them and finally when they released their debut album Egress Point in 2016, they were able to amass a loyal following and the album was both a critical and a commercial success in the heavy music circles. Gathering positive reviews in National and International media like Metal Injection, Metalsucks, Metal Wani, Rollingstone India, Pepsi MTV indies and more , the band has been quick to establish itself as one of the most explosive live acts in the country."
