Like a cauldron of bats out of Austin, Dragon Rapid is the newest post-punk, dark wave sensation from the Live Music Capitol. The band takes notes from legends such as Joy Division and The Cure…Then add a hard hitting slap with dark pulses creating their own unique sound. In less than a year, Dragon Rapid has played sold out shows in Austin and San Antonio along side Post-modern greats, Urban Heat and Haunt Me. Lead vocalist, Dany Jay’s voice beacons like a slow, distant thunder…calm, low and seductive. Their lyrics range from Spanish to English and read like a message in a bottle. The band has recently finishing their first regional tour covering all of Texas and just beyond the border in Mexico.
