Call It Tragedy – a melodic, heavy, versatile & ambitious metalcore-outfit from the middle of nowhere (aka Marburg/Gießen) in Germany. Though the band had already formed in 2013, when the founding members were merely teenagers, Call It Tragedy was completely redefined and reborn in the year 2018. The release of the single Immortal at the tail end of 2018 marked a new chapter for the band and presented the current line-up consisting of: Jörn Engelhardt (Vocals), Harvey Stemmler (Bass & Vocals), Thorsten Mootz (Guitars) & Daniel Schepp (Drums). The group effortlessly switches between technical metal riffs, harsh screams and emotional clean vocals to give the listeners a thrilling listening experience in every single song. Connected by their immeasurable amount of love for music, the 4 guys are striving to fulfil their childhood dreams of creating memorable music that reaches a wide audience. Lyrical themes of the band revolve around a wide array of topics like self-doubts, dangers of social media (over)consumption or toxic relationships. The sophomore LP Turbulence, which was released in April of 2020, was received positively by fans of the genre and metal magazines all over the globe. CIT has been using the abstinence of concerts to once again reshape their sound. Determined to release the best material they’ve ever written in 2022, the band is confidently looking forward to the future.
