KY. translates the feelings of an average millenial to spheric, emotional songs filled with honesty and meaning. Influences come from artists such as Ben Howard and Lewis Capaldi. His first two singles (350K+ streams in total) have already gained airplay at Dutch radio stations such as 3FM, KINK and Q-Music, and made shows in respected venues (Paradiso Amsterdam, Melkweg, Festival the Brave) possible. After successful releases of ‘Seaside’ and debut-EP ‘This Lonely Night’ (350k + streams and airplay on multiple Dutch radio stations) Amsterdam-based singer-songwriter KY. will release new single ‘December’. This single came to life after a writing day with Christon Kloosterboer (Rigby, Lost Frequencies eg.). ‘December’ tells the story of a person getting into a new phase in life and having to let go of someone. In 2021 KY. played over 20 shows during Popronde and will close this successful year with a new single that perfectly fits in the melancholic pop-sound of KY.
