Will Knox is a born storyteller. With just a few words and chords he knows how to bring worlds to life. The British born artist found his way to the Netherlands where he has flourished as an award-winning songwriter, earning 3 Buma Awards (PRS/ASCAP equivalent) with credits on tracks totalling 1 billion streams including Duncan Laurence’s 2019 Eurovision winning song “Arcade”. His own music is influenced by the classic storytelling of Leonard Cohen and Paul Simon, atmospheres of Nick Drake and Elliott Smith and freshness from more recent artists Maddison Cunningham & Blake Mills. His new album Shedding + Blooming was released on January 7th 2022. "The essence of this album is healing. It is about dysfunctional relationships and trying to grow out of them. I've put oceans between myself and the past only to recreate dysfunctional relationships elsewhere. Songs like Fraction ask why, Tattoo explains how my past has shaped the person I've become, while Jesse's Apartment touches on some of the deeper issues of trauma. Through a lot of writing, talking and therapy I've started to shed some of my more self-destructive habits and get to the root causes. I'm grateful for the healing process that songwriting has provided me, it has helped me grow as a person and that's the story I wanted to tell with this album."
