ARMAHDA is a Brazilian heavy metal band from São Paulo founded in 2010. Its songs explores episodes in the history of Brasil that should not be forgotten. One of the band’s top priorities is the historical accuracy and all songs are carefully elaborated based on deep research. In 2013 the band has released it’s first full-album, Armahda, with 13 songs that combines different styles of heavy metal, ballads and Brazilian rhythms. This debut album was extremely celebrated by the heavy metal community and quickly was featured in some of the best Heavy Metal blogs, websites and magazines. Paiol em Chamas happened to be the most acclaimed song by the public. In 2015 Armahda has released its first single, Last Farewell: a ballad mixing English and Portuguese lyrics about the last days of Dom Pedro II, a former Brazilian Emperor exiled in Europe. ARMAHDA has also been playing with some major names in Heavy Metal scenario such as Sabaton, Grave Digger, Sepultura, Krisium, Vicious Rumours and many more. In July 2018, Armahda made its first European Tour, which had concerts in France, Belgium, Netherlands, Poland, Czech Republic and Eslovenia. They were also the only Brazilian band at Metal Days Festival 2018, playing at New Forces Stage. Current line-up is Maurício Guimarães – vocals and acoustic guitar, Renato Domingos - guitar, Ale Dantas - guitar, Paulo Chopps – bass and João Pires – drums. The band is currently working on its second album.
