Posie, the moniker of singer-songwriter Jessica Flamand, is a storyteller and instrumentalist whose songs fuse the musicality of classic folk and rock with the stylings of modern pop. Driven by an innate love of words and vocal tone she consciously works to follow in the footsteps of female artists who have influenced her such as Stevie Nicks Joni Mitchell, and Laura Marling. She believes that music has the ability to reveal hidden truths, and invites the listener to join her in this elevated space. Growing up an only-child in New England, an unconventional childhood allowed her ample time to explore her creativity, writing and playing guitar from the age of 10. Hours of experimenting in open tunings, layered with her poems, resulted in her 1st EP “The Lost Years” released at the age of 17. Covered in Sunday Girl Magazine alongside Gabrielle Aplin. After moving to NYC she met Jeremy Rompala who would become her longtime collaborator. The pair played hundreds of gigs and released music as a duo. In 2020 after rethinking their project, Posie was born featuring Flamand as a solo artist. Recurring themes in her work are: the passing of time, romance, and dreams. Her ever-evolving sound, guided by Rompala's production, creates sonic backdrops for her inimitable vocals. On Jul. 16th Posie released her newest song “Back in Your Arms." She spends her days writing and recording in her home studio in Los Angeles, California.
