Sugar For The Pill are an Indie / Shoegaze - Dream pop band formed in March of 2020 in the city of Athens, Greece. Their music feels like “floating”. At times with a wider, dynamic momentum created by a well reined wall of sound, influenced by early 90’s shoegaze like my bloody valentine , Slowdive and Ride and at times like a soft travelling cloud of heavenly female vocals that will remind you of dreamy indie/alternative bands, like Cocteau Twins and Lush and even a bit of Interpol, Sugar for the Pill levitate through this earth, painting their emotions along their path. Their passionate debut, full length album called Wanderlust was released in March 2022 by Shelflife Records (US) and Make Me Happy Records (GR) and received excellent reviews from Greek and International press, radio airplays on international radio stations (KEXP, BBC, DKFM, Best FM, ERT, Nostos FM etc.) and has been voted as one of the best Shoegaze albums of the year 2022 by Rolling Stone Mag (Gr) and lots of others. On June 15th the band performed on Release Athens Festival along with Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds , Mogwai and Fontaines D.C. On December 16th they’ve joined Ride as special guests of band’s “NOWHERE 30th TOUR” in Greece under the auspices of Ejekt Festival. To their credit, they have collaborated with the famous band Keep Shelly In Athens , in the song “I Don’t Want Your Romance”.
