Biyografi
The formation of Pure Mids traces back to the time when Steven was recording and mixing an EP for Fine Minds, a previous band of Dan and Will. While Steven and Dan had collaborated on an album for their project, The Ambient Light, it was their first experience working together as a trio on a production. Despite having crossed paths numerous times while performing shows in Los Angeles, this collaboration brought them together in a new capacity. Steven had always been impressed by Will's musical prowess, and their studio sessions flowed seamlessly. During the recording process, they all recognized the potential of collaborating on a joint project. Utilizing some of the new material that Will had been writing with Dan, they embarked on recording Will's ideas in Steven’s home studio. This collective effort eventually culminated in the release of their debut album, Optimistic-Ism, in 2018. The trio would follow up with a number of singles, each one further refining their signature mix of alternative/indie shoegaze with a splash of neo-psychedelia. Their track Don't Quit lit the blogosphere on fire and continues to gain traction after a video on TikTok using the song gained 5.1M views. The song even earned an unofficial remix by Day Wave which he live-streamed on his Twitch channel. Their latest tracks Ivy & Plenty Things continue to transcend listeners into aural bliss with a colorful prism of analog delays and reverb-drenched melodies.
