Emmett Kai is a recording artist and producer originally from northern California who made way to New York City in 2017 just as his single “Juicy” was climbing in numbers. After reaching a wide audience with his first record, Emmett’s career has taken shape in both performer and producer. 
 In 2019, the album “BABYHITS!” was released. Emmett and his band went on to play sold out shows in New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco that same year which earned Emmett a cult fan base that subscribes to his self titled genre, “Freak Pop.” 
 In 2020, “Freak Pop Novelty” was released, which was Kai’s sophomore album. The record spanned 7 songs which was pressed to vinyl and sold out within months of being public. “Freak Pop Novelty” has been considered one of the core reasons Emmett was offered a publishing deal with the international company Peer Publishing, which he is currently signed with and publishing under. 
 Emmett Kai has been an independent artist since his debut record in 2017 and has landed countless placements on TV & Film such as Locke & Key, Shameless, Broad City, NPR, & more. He has also worked and produced with artists such as Jo Hill, Julietta, Nick Monaco, King Woman, Ilton, Wolf + Lamb, and more. 
 In 2022, an article was published in the New York based, Office Magazine, where Emmett was interviewed in a raw and detailed manner by Willa-Beck Rudolph. Emmett spoke openly about his life, music, and America.
