In September 2022, the Newcastle-based songsmith will return with two live releases featuring tracks from his recent EP. Recorded and filmed live in a single take, these reimagined solo versions of Friend & Foe and Backward Steps see Mat strip away the textured accompaniments that we heard on the full release. Left behind are the songs in their rawest and most endearing forms, rich with colourful harmony, heartfelt sentiment, and soothing baritone.
