Traditional sounds, so dear to Mareva, that are here highlighted in their most authentic form. Through its 11 tracks, “Paris – Tahiti” is the artist’s most personal full-length outing. A musical odyssey recorded in Paris and Tahiti, the album subtly blends traditional sounds with French pop, the modernity of the production espousing the immortality of tradition. This curiously beguiling album is a fresh new meeting of the cultures: the guitars, bass, drums, keyboards and vocals were recorded in Paris while the ukuleles, percussion, drums, nose flute and traditional choirs were recorded in Tahiti using wood and bamboo instruments entirely handmade by the musicians themselves.
