Calico Jack are a funk-pop/rock London-based group founded by multi-instrumentalist trio Kyle DM, Luke Piper, and Will Lord. A genre-bending and irreverent mix of classic 70s funk with modern guitar rock/pop, Calico Jack use their songs to tell playful stories through irresistibly catchy grooves. Inspired by the classic disco-funk pioneers Nile Rodgers & CHIC, the jazz-rock of Steely Dan, and the modern pop/funk of Red Hot Chili Peppers and Parcels, Calico Jack is infused with the history of dance music all the way back to James Brown - keeping the crowd off their seats and dancing along. Recently, the original trio has expanded their live band into a bigger, slicker performance after years honing their famously high-energy, interactive, and unpredictable show. They have toured across the UK, headlined famous venues across London like The Lexington and The Garage, and, in 2020, played from a bus to over 65,000 people in Parliament Square.
