    Those uncountable sleepless nights that everybody knows … The Cologne-based quintet “anorak”, founded in 2010, addresses this very feeling of restlessness and helplessness and works with it on a musical level. Already with their first album “enthusiasts & collectors”, which was released on uncle-m, the band revealed their ambition to sound different from what you know. Now, in 2019, after more than 100 shows in Germany and Austria, with bands like “anti-flag”, “moose blood”, “young guns”, “love a”, “kmpfsprt” and “blackout problems” their journey continues. About three years after their debut, which excited fans of screamo and post-hardcore music with its rough and sincere sound and two years after their double-single “hollow/memo” (2017) the band will put out a new record this year. Without forgetting their roots, the band finds an inimitable sound, a mixture of post-hardcore, indie, emo, post-rock and whatever, which can be connected to the new wave sound from “la dispute”, “pianos become teeth” and “touché amoré”.
