The lifework of frontman Evighet, Eternity started as a solo project with its beginnings going way back to the 90s and the golden age of Black Metal. In the early 2000s, seeking purity and solace in the mountains of Norway, Evighet went on a self-imposed exile to lay down the foundation for what would become Eternity. Two demos were recorded, and the work culminated in Bringer of the Fall in 2005. To progress further and for Eternity to achieve its potential, it became obvious that a full band was needed. A recording contract with Soulseller was secured and it was finally time for Eternity to arise as a band. Joining forces with members from acts such as Nocturnal Breed and Den Saakaldte; J.Røe, T.Ødegaard and V.Fineidet, with Blasphemer laying down a killer bass track for the recording, Eternity went into studio and spent three years making the best album possible. The satanic masterwork «To Become the Great Beast» was released in September 2019 to great critical acclaim. Playing live now being an option, Eternity took to the stage and played gigs around Norway with bands such as Mork and Dødheimsgard. When the world retracted in pandemic madness, work began on the next album. Another three years of hard work and dedication followed. Crafted in the shadow of totalitarian lockdowns, constant crises and war, Mundicide is a many faceted primal scream about the state of the world today and the pain of living through such times. Mundicide will release July 7th 2023.
