Orang Malaya​ has undoubtedly become a household name in the South East Asia music scene. Jumping in and out of genres effortlessly, the 25-year-old is widely recognised for innovating and pushing the boundaries of what music could be. Utilizing raw and honest lyricism, colliding with perfect instrumentation, Malaya has the uncanny ability to draw fans into the fascinating universe he creates with each release. His newest offering, ‘Karya Cinta Suprima’ is no different. Self-composed and self-written, the conceptual EP is vague, dark, and somewhat self-sabotaging at times, but it is also a clash and overlap between the good (Madu) and the bad (Racun). Malaya's deep dive into social ills and relationship issues that are common amongst the Malaysian youth makes this solo project all the more relatable.
