Jógvan Hansen is a versatile singer & musician from Faroe Islands. Jógvan lives in Iceland where he is well established in the music industry in Iceland as well as in Faroe Islands. Making his waves when he won the Icelandic X Factor the year of 2007. Jógvan released his album Rooftop placing the title single in #1 in Iceland. Jógvan has collaborated on various projects such as being the lead singer in the band Aria and singing for Kular Røtur, placing one of the CDs as the best selling album for the last 20 years in Faroe Islands. Jógvan is well traveled, playing concerts in places like Iceland, Faroe Islands, Denmark, Britain and Spain and is a popular commodity for events, weddings and gatherings as his presence brings so much more beyond the music. Jógvan is well known for translating lyrics between Icelandic and Faroese songs into his own versions connecting the two countries through music. Focusing on Pop, Band/Swing & Jazz music.
