The Sankaras are a rock band, formed in the east end of Glasgow in late 2021, who take inspiration from a range of well known and loved rock, indie and alternative artists, while putting their own unique twist on the genre. They spent their first year as a band playing to sold out crowds in several iconic Scottish venues such as King Tut's Wah Wah Hut and many more, all before having released any music, attracting audiences purely based on their reputation and word of mouth. The Sankaras' debut single - "Running Out Of Time" - released on January 27th to high praise from fans and industry professionals alike, gaining thousands of streams within the first week of release and propelling them into a sold out headline show in The Garage Attic shortly after, The Sankaras set the bar high with their debut single and are ready to smash through it and set it even higher with their highly anticipated follow-up single “Amorist” coming July 14th. You can see The Sankaras live in Glasgow on August 4th at their biggest show yet, performing in the iconic Glasgow venue Saint Luke’s, and on October 7th at this years Tenement Trail Festival.
