Deathsport is an indie rock band by brothers Tom and Mike Zitzelsberger. Heavily influenced by Dreampop/ Shoegaze artist during most of their teenage years, they started experimenting with different names, styles, projects and approaches. They joined bands, worked as producers and even wrote songs for other artists until eventually finding back to why they have made music in the first place: A love for nostalgia, simple-structured and chanson-styled writing in search for something unique. So beginning of 2021 the brothers started recording their “Case Study Songs” EP and shaped their own Krautrock identity with simple three chord progressions, analog synths and and a voice that wants to be heard. Case Study Songs deals with very specific feelings from an everyday perspective. It is a case study about the bands post pandemic thoughts, mental health, societal restlessness, technology fanatism and a pure anger towards human ignorance. It is honest, raw and stripped down to its core. After the their first release, the band draw attention from most of the influential indie rock blogs. 2022 they are following up with new material.
