La Scelta is: Mattia Del Forno (lead singer, piano, synth), Francesco Caprara (drums, percussions), Emiliano Mangia (guitar), Marco Pistone (bass guitar). 
 The band was formed in Rome in 2006 and has shown an original identity since the debut in the Italian musical scene, inheriting from the new-rock sound which had been animating the capital city for over a decade. Their music shows contaminations from both the rich Italian background and from Europe, showing a deep interest for Mediterranean influences: it grows on the fields of a multicultural sound but it's rooted in the Italian songwriters' musical tradition. 
 In February 2008 the band ranked second in the "emerging artists" category at the Sanremo Festival, was awarded with the AFI prize (Italian Phonographics Association) and released its first album titled "Il Nostro Tempo".
