Originally formed by two drummers in 2016 near Dresden, „Searching for Home“ has developed into a collective featuring eleven talented jazz fusion newcomers from all over Germany. Having played in various professional projects like the youth jazz orchestras of the federal states and worked with a bunch of high class artists like Max Mutzke (Eurovision Song Contest 2004) or Samuel Rösch (The Voice of Germany 2018), the members bring huge spectrum of influences to the music. Together they create an unique sound somewhere between jazz, funk, pop and world music including strong melodies, deep and groovy beats as well as colorful arrangements and improvisation. With „Hidden Errors“ Searching for Home produced their secound album featuring a three-piece horn section and Stuttgart’s very own Hannes Stollsteimer (p. e. pianist for The Jakob Manz Project) at the legendary Bauer Studios Ludwigsburg. The record describes the bands movement to more simple, structured and deep but energetic compositions with lyrics about a loss of an inner balance and mental weekness. New elements like trap beats, middle-eastern sounds or african folklore found their way into the bands more-than-ever broad catalogue of styles.
