The Moth Gatherer was founded in Stockholm in 2008 by Victor Wegeborn and Alex Stjernfeldt. They released their debut album ”A Bright Celestial Light” in 2013 on Agonia Records. Svante Karlsson joined in late 2013 and they started working on a follow-up album. 2015 saw the release of their critically acclaimed second album ”The Earth Is The Sky”. After that release Ronny Westphal completed the line-up. In 2017 they teamed up with Dennis Lyxzén and Fred Burman to record their first EP ”The Comfortable Low” released later that year. With a sound mixing Post Metal, Post Rock, Electronica, Shoegaze and Sludge they are exploring their own path forward, creating a thought provoking and introvert journey for the listener to follow. Alex decided to leave the band in 2018. In late 2018, Dan Hemgren joined the band as the new bass player. Their third full-length album "Esoteric Oppression" was released on the 22nd of February through Agonia Records.
