Husband and wife multi-instrumentalists Jenny Long & Evan Vidar have been making music together and separately in their native Los Angeles for ten years. Recorded in part during the intimate, homebound months of the pandemic, the pair’s first collaborative album release combines an introspective, insistent lyrical approach with unaffected vocals and determinedly inventive and lush production. An exploration of universal feelings of surrender, permission, possibility, and love, the debut crystallizes the duo's vision of songwriting and self-production with clarity and emotional candor. With each song offered as its own world of discovery, the twosome trust their stylistic impulses: adventurously weaving through soaring orchestral alt-folk, minimalist new jazz, yearning power pop and beyond.
