Desire Of Pain is a Chilean Progresive Melodic Death Metal band founded in 2007 by Sebastián Silva and the Poblete brothers (Álvaro, Mauricio and Mario). They recorded their first EP in 2009 titled "Ashes Of Darkness" album that receives very good reviews by the national media leading them to sign with the Chilean label Australis Records. The band began to play in some regions of the country and then work on its first full length "Fragments Of A Crystallized Abscense.” According to Rockaxis and Grinder Magazine the album was one of the best LP of the year receiving excellent comments worldwide (Metal Sucks, Metal Injection). In 2011 and 2012 the album began to be distributed worldwide thanks to “Code 7 distro” allowing the band to perform their first national tour achieving an excellent reception. In the middle of the year 2013 the band decides to take a break that meant the exit of the poblete brothers of the band leaving Sebastián (main songwriter) alone. In the year 2017 Sebastian decides to leave the prolonged recess by recruiting new musicians. Marcelo Fuenzalida (guitar) Alejandro Vásquez (drums) and Misael Torres (bass) were selected to start composing new music. At the beginning of 2018 the band launches the single "Ascension" on digital platforms. At the beginning of 2018 the band releases “Ascension” on digital platforms (Spotify, Amazon music, Apple Music, Youtube) which is part of their new album called "Immensity" released again under the Australis Rec label.
