At the end of 2016 the group released its first album, Delírios vol. 1. In this first album, with Rafael’s arrangements, Sambaranda recreates  with their voices compositions from great brazilian masters such as Tom  Jobim, Antonio Adolfo, Djavan, Guinga, Ed Motta, Gilberto Gil,  Dominguinhos and Marisa Monte. And last but not least introducing the  song Na Varanda, a Rafael’s original composition. Delírios vol. 1 has been well received by both public and the critics,  and also won the Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards 2017 in  the best jazz album category. Being the first brazillian group ever  nominated in this category For the end of this year of 2017 Sambaranda, now formed by Rafael  Carneiro, Nani Valente, Penélope Celano, Fredson Torres, Cristiano  Santos and Diego de Jesus, releases a new project: A Christmas Album. “Sambaranda, Um Natal Meio Christmas” a modern and vocal approach  to christmas songs that roams our popular memory such as Boas Festas (from Brazillian composer Assis Valente), Noite Feliz/Silent night  (Joseph Mohr / Franz Xaver Gruber) considered an imaterial Patrimony  Imaterialof humanity by UNESCO in 2011, Canção de Natal a  portuguese version of The Christmas Song (Mel Tormé / Robert Wells)  written by Nani Valente, amongst other classics like Bate o Sino(Jingle  Bells), O Holy Night and The First Noel. A modern sonority, exploring rhythmics elements and Jazz Harmony it’s  what the public can check out in Sambaranda’s sound.
