One of the rare bands in Turkey's electronic/synth rock scene 40gece combines the atmospheric, distinctive-bright structure of rock genre and dark-wave/electronic music with experimental compositions. They released their debut concept album ''Düşünden Uyan'' on 22nd May 2020. The debut album offers a specific concept story and focuses on the alienation of the human in the modern world and pessimistic individual concepts with 9 tracks. The duo maintained their conceptual music to a darker sound in their second album “Buradan Çıkış Yok’’. The album, in which a conceptual story is told, includes 10 songs, however, unlike the first album, this album includes songs that are out of the main theme, in which 40gece expands their composition and the range of their songwriting. Nowadays, the duo released their new single ''Kaybettim Kendimi''. The song is telling the story of the people who live at the bottom of their lives and feel free from it. The duo's new sound is expanding the musical landscape of their own, combined with Batu Şallıel’s sax solo melodies.
