Wizaard truly is a product of Montreal: sharp like winter but smooth like gravy sauce. Over the years, the band has become a fixture of the city’s underground music scene, and is now emerging at the forefront of a new psychedelic movement. Wizaard has shared the scene with numerous acts, from french canadian seducers Choses Sauvages to local talent like Men I Trust and Elephant Stone, as well as Chicago’s Twin Peaks. The band has also put out tasty remixes for Memphis’ Spaceface (Flaming Lips’ side project) and Montreal’s Le Couleur, as well as collaborated on Dylarama’s first EP. Their 2016 LP Starfish Buffet was a grand voyage through a strange musical universe, tinted with disco, electro, funk and rock influences. The band is back in the game with their new banger Hugg, which announces the release of a new EP on February 1st 2019: Supernatural Mystics.
