Meet Kyara Shereen… An RnB-infused singer-songwriter born in Zoetermeer, The Netherlands. Kyara’s refined her love of music from a young age and has evolved into a deeply emotive artist, capable of transforming sensations into song. Influenced by the likes of Beyonce, H.E.R., and Victoria Monet, her music evokes feelings of love, self-confidence, and empowerment. Kyara was discovered on Instagram by Latifah and signed by FromParadise in 2016, where she released her debut single ‘Socials’ - followed by ‘Follow Me’ and ‘I’m Trying’ in 2020. “’I’m Trying’ is about standing up for yourself even when you feel like it’s useless to do so. When you’re used to being quiet, it can be hard to speak up for yourself and to be heard in the deepest way.” As a new artist, Kyara is using her music as a way of acknowledging her experiences and invites us to pull our own meanings from her songs.
