BEYAZ KELEBEKLER / WHITE BUTTERFLIES Tee-Set (known for their world hit Ma Belle Amie) was one of the few Dutch bands with an international appeal. During a Turkish tour singer, composer and producer Peter Tetteroo visited a Beyaz Kelebekler concert and heard their tune Sen Gidince. He saw the hit potential of the song, contacted the group, brought them to a studio in the Netherlands and produced Sen Gidince (and Dam Üstüne Cul Serer singles). The result was a huge number one hit in the Turkish charts and the best selling single of the year. Since Beyaz Kelebekler is difficult for Europeans to pronounce, the name was translated to English: White Butterflies. Beyaz Kelebekler with vocalist Sevil Özyurt became the first Turkish band ever that made it into the Dutch and Belgian charts. Sen Gidince grew into a real classic and evergreen for the Turkish people worldwide. SEN GIDINCE – MATT POP REMIXES The famous Dutch remix producer Matt Pop was impressed by the song. He saw opportunities to lift Sen Gidince to a new and younger audience through a modern sound. Thanks to a catchy new beat, he managed to forge a beautiful unity, with a cheerful contagious positive vibe this is dance pop at it’s best.
