Equally suited for arenas, sweaty rock clubs, and dusty back roads, DB Stewart deftly blends blues, rock, and pop to chronicle his journey of love, loss, and self-reconstruction. Since the release of his genre-bending EP Save My Soul in 2018, DB Stewart and his producer Xstitch continue to push the boundaries of what a DIY artist can sound like. All songs start on the couch with an acoustic guitar, making their way to Xstitch’s living room recording rig. The result? A robust sonic spectrum, from intimate acoustic recordings to stadium-ready anthems, all primed for radio. At the onset of the pandemic DB found himself alone in his Seattle apartment amid the fallout of a long-term relationship coming to an end. Armed only with a pen, pad, guitar, and copious amounts of coffee, he crafted his debut album To the Unknown (released July 2022). This project primed him for headlining clubs and festivals throughout the greater Seattle and Tacoma area, including High Dive and Tacoma's Summer Blast. His first single of 2023 The Problem with Falling in Love provides a dark yet danceable tune for folks actively mourning lost love. His second single of the year, Gin and Time, arrived on his 30th birthday - described by Radio Castor as "skillfully [mixing] blues, rock and pop to tell his journey of love, loss and self-recovery".
