alter echo is Keegan Joyce is alter echo. The name alter echo is a reference to Greek mythology and, of course, a play on ‘alter ego.’ Clever right? Why the name change? I wanted to get away from the narcissism of my own name, what better way than to name myself after Echo, who fell in love with Narcissus, but was cursed to repeat the last words spoken to her and couldn’t convey her feelings. Also the algorithm sometimes pairs ‘Keegan Joyce’ with comedy podcasts and my music isn’t that funny. Keegan Joyce is a Sydney born, Melbourne based actor and musician.
