Synecdoche Montauk, the musical project of London-based, Moscow-born Savva Rozanov, has been pushing the boundaries of music for ten years since the release of its debut album "Внеклассное чтение" ("Extracurricular Reading"). With subsequent releases, "Лебединое мясо" ("Swan Meat"), "MMXVII, Глава I", "MMXVII, Глава II and "MMXVIII, Глава III", Synecdoche Montauk has solidified its place as one of the most impressive experimental pop acts from Russia. Rozanov's genre of music, which he dubs "Pierrot-core," is always up-to-date and resonates with the present. His position as co-founder and head composer of the international production studio Monoleak allows him to be precise with the sound of his songs and fill it with details. The heavily detailed world of Synecdoche Montauk is constantly balancing between allusions to Russian life and signs of modernity. With the sounds ranging between new R&B, traditional folk and baroque pop music, each song creates a panoramic image with an emotional concentration embedded inside and finds its tricks and ways of communicating. Rozanov's collaborations with established artists in different genres, such as Kedr Livanskiy, White Punk, Tim Aminov, ИЛЬЯМАЗО, CREAM SODA, Moa Pillar, Монти Механик, and ARTEMIEV have cemented his reputation as an experimental pop icon.
