Evan Troop is a rock and country artist from Dallas, TX At 4 years of age, Evan began learning piano. He then took up drums at 11, and found his musical calling with guitar at age 18. While attending high school in Texas, Evan earned a senate nomination from John Cornyn, and received an appointment to attend the United States Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, NY. Evan sailed around the world as a ship’s officer aboard merchant vessels. Evan worked on several notable projects as a ship’s officer including the Macondo 252 BP Relief Well Intercept Team. In late 2010, this team successfully brought an end to the BP oil spill disaster in the Gulf of Mexico. It was during this time at sea and traveling around the world that Evan began writing songs. From 2017 to 2018, Evan spent a year putting together 14 demos at Duprey Studio Recordings in Dallas. In the summer of 2018, Evan teamed up with Bryan Todd, a multi-platinum and Grammy nominated producer in Nashville, TN. In 2018, Evan and Bryan recorded the Evan Troop EP at Blackbird Studios in Nashville. Evan went on to write, record, produce and release 6 singles in 2019. These 12 songs have been gaining traction across multiple streaming platforms. Evan’s music currently has over 1mm streams. In the spring of 2020, Evan began work on his second EP along with producers Alex Gerst and Chris Godbey. Evan will be released two singles in October and November of 2020 with the full EP dropping on December 18th.
