Matthew Owen Martin is a 40 year old Guitarist, Singer, Songwriter from Fresno, California. Matthew has been playing guitar since he was 6 years old, though he still can’t read music to this day. Influenced by Chuck Berry, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and especially by Leslie West & Mountain, Matthew’s music is heavy on his guitar playing which is emotive, raw, and simple. In fact, if you asked him, he would say he can barely play guitar and doesn’t practice much, but sometimes simplicity and emotion can take a song from being tedious and complex to expressing accurately the emotion intended and that alone is what he seeks when making his music.
