MARBLES is a dreamy indiepop group based in Oslo, Norway. Growing up in Norway's black metal capital, Kolbotn, keyboardist Adrian Sandberg, guitarist Marcus Widmer and vocalist/bassist Ferdinand Widmer already had their fair share of heavy music before drummer Marius Ringen joined the group in 2018. Marius' refreshing perspective and a collective shift in music mentality was the birth of MARBLES. ​Coming from many musical backgrounds the guys were not, by any means, sure about what they wanted to play. The only thing they really knew how to do together was to catch a “vibe” and develop that further. Their first single 'European Dream' is truly a testimony to this. A "one chord song" that is full of energy from that sound defining fall of 2018.​ 2019 and 2020 were packed with writing and recording songs, as well as live performances in Oslo, main capital of Norway. They used 2020 2021 to play around the entire country. In October 2020, their self-titled debut “album” (whilst more like an extended EP) was released on Tik Records. The album was well received and, despite lockdown, they were able to play the album live for a seated audience in November. Despite the stranglehold of the pandemic, the band has been writing and producing new songs and playing more and more liveshows as the world is opening up. Who can tell what this summer might unfold.
