MAD MACKS is a song writer and musician from East Los Angeles. Since 2013 He helped to personify East of the River (EOTR), an emerging latin based hip hop collective consisting of 6 members ranging from MCs to DJs and producers. His Mexican culture is intricately woven into his laid back lyrics and partner well with beats from various producers. Macks' music leaves audiences feeling refreshed and hungry for more. The transition from working in the studio to performing live is exciting and has enabled Macks to perform in Major cities throughout California alongside EOTR. In addition to performing in multiple states throughout the U.S. Macks has been able to travel to Europe and connect with people abroad making his music an effective tool on a global scale. He and EOTR have been putting the perception of latin artists from East LA through a social and musical metamorphosis. They do so by bringing a relevant voice and appearance to the world so that the term "chicano rapper” can form a new identity. Regardless of where Macks goes, he leaves a mark of relevant thought reminding the rapidly changing world that the Eastside's sound is changing along with it. -MP
