Derrius Logan, a Los Angeles born creative, has had plenty of light shed on his music in the last year. From having his self produced single, “Bring It Back” featured on HBO’s hit show, Insecure, to thousands of playlist features and performances on Airbnb’s new Experiences platform. He’s grown into a musician with a story worth following. 
 Derrius got his start singing and rapping throughout his scholastic years. After years of pursuing music as a career, he still just getting started. He sites Leimert Park as the community that has allowed him to continue growing into the man and artist he has become. “Leimert was where I got my first REAL taste of freedom. Creatively and otherwise.” 
 “Anyone and everyone can have an influence on you, but the question is how long will it last?” Derrius says citing Andre 3000, Kanye West, and Stevie Wonder as lasting influences. “They’ve helped me discover my perspective on creativity in general.“ 
 Now, as Derrius crosses 500,000 streams just after the release of his first LP titled Leimert Park, he is showing no signs of slowing his release schedule or experimentation with sounds. He has become an artist who’s genre is most easily described as Black Music, making all types of music that stem from his communities and heritage. KEEP SAFE is the upcoming LP we can expect from him late April.
