Los Angeles-based musician Phillip Jordan Brooks, otherwise known as Teraton, delivers dark, aggressive and often mysterious songs and soundscapes that blend different styles of rock, including industrial, experimental, metal, and post-punk. Brooks’ passion for music was born in his Louisiana hometown by performing in bands throughout high school with friends. After graduating University, this dream, along with a passion for filmmaking, took Teraton to Los Angeles, where he has refined his sound. He isn’t afraid to tap into his raw emotions, drawing inspiration from his own life and household rock bands like Radiohead, Nine Inch Nails, and Tool. He typically writes and records his music alone, featuring vocals, guitar, keyboards, samplers, and drum machines. Through Teraton, Brooks has forged a unique sound, one filled with noisy samples, crunchy distortion, and hard hitting synth grooves. In 2023, Brooks’ Teraton seeks to release its debut EP in late summer 2023 and to perform live following its release.
