Philadelphia is home to arguably the most prestigious hip-hop scene that its genre has seen. Whether it was the instances of poetic wordplay over classic instrumentals that benchmarked legendary groups like The Roots, or the grungy street lyricism that flooded the same rap DVD cypher scene where artists like Meek Mill were born, Mus was surrounded by music and developed an ear an early age.
