Darren Holmes hails from County Durham UK and writes original songs about things like falling in love in the supermarket and inspirational songs like dream big . His down to earth attitude soaks his lyrics in a realism we can all relate to. We played through his catalogue of self penned tunes on Spotify and, although we’ve found many things to admire, one song in particular stands out for us. Ripples is the last addition to the now completed album, it’s reminds you of a youthful life well spent, climbing trees and going to the beach, instead of sitting in front of computer screens like the youth of today, it also reminding us of a time when we didn’t need much to be happy and content and what would tomorrow’s adventure be. 
 Some men buy flowers for their loved ones but not darren, he’s upped the game to another level with dream catcher as a gift to his wife for her birthday Dream Catcher (both versions - studio and live), delivers a hypnotically catchy chorus filled with strong hooks. We asked Darren about his own favourite track and September Sun claimed his top spot as it was the very first track and that he never in his wildest dreams thought would ever come into being, he said “ it’s goes to show, if you put your mind to something you can achieve something very special”
