ORION, seems to fade in and out of time. He first appears in the 1990’s NJ indie music scene when legendary DJ, Matt Pinfield discovers his band, Kitty in the Tree, giving ORION his first viral hit on 106.3 WHTG. Some say he was seen sharing the stage with Ween, Cake, The White Stripes, and The Strokes, but evidence is scarce, and memories are hazy. ORION reappeared in the post- punk revival scene of NYC where he started his Glam-Rock supergroup, The Orion Experience. In a basement rehearsal studio, somewhere near 7th St. and Ave B, the seminal, Power Pop masterpiece, Cosmicandy was born. ORION was spotted performing joyous, high-energy concerts in New York, Los Angeles, Austin, Portland, Philly, DC, and everywhere in between. Legends speak of Children of the Stars, a 6-week, Off-Broadway immersive theatrical production of The Orion Experience’s music. Then, suddenly and without explanation, ORION seems to disappear once again. Years pass, until 2020 when ORION’s hedonistic, free-love anthem, The Cult of Dionysus goes viral on TikTok. A period of explosive creativity dawns with ORION’s re-emergence. ORION releases his electro stoner-pop album, Lush Life. Two full length studio albums, Sugar Deluxe and Fever Dream are released by The Orion Experience; an international tour is planned. And now Tragic Magic, ORION’s second solo studio album is bubbling and brewing in the cosmic laboratory.
