Swansea born singer/songwriter Laura Jayne has just released her debut original song ‘Feel Like This’. Her emotive voice has tones aching to Eva Cassidy and Kacey Musgraves. Laura’s ability to capture an audience is already well known in the UK and with nearly 3 million streams on Spotify, listeners in 175 other countries have heard her voice. Showing an interest in music from a young age, Laura’s family quickly realised she had a keen ear and could listen to a song and then play it on the piano. Laura entered into a local talent competition called ‘The Welsh Factor’ which saw her place 2nd, winning a recording voucher for ‘Music Wales’ recording studio. Deciding to record and release a cover album of her favourite country/pop songs became a success and her CD’s were distributed into Tesco stores and made available on other platforms to purchase and download. Laura continued to perform at events and also taught herself how to play the acoustic guitar. Exploring her musical abilities by recording cover songs on her YouTube channel also saw her followers grow and more fans started to engage. 2020 Lockdown gave Laura the chance to throw herself completely into practicing the guitar and writing her own music, which ignited the passion and creativity she knew she had. 2023 marks the start of Laura’s journey to sharing her original music, she is currently working on new material and is so excited to share it with her fans.
